Cinema Design Group Forms Commercial Division

CDGiPro will focus on hotels, conference centers, restaurants and houses of worship.

Acoustics solutions provider Cinema Design Group International (CDGi) has created a division dedicated to serving the commercial audio/video industry.

CDGiPro springs from a reorganization, according to a statement by the company’s board of directors.

CEO and president Jeffrey Galea talked to CE Pro in June 2009 about reorganization plans that involved being granted Chapter 727 status under Florida Statutes.

Galea said the company would emerge from the Chapter 727 status as “a shiny, new CDGI.” The commercial division is clearly part of that vision.

“For years dealers have been using our products, engineering services and 3D Design Studio for commercial applications. We’re happy to finally be able to offer a complete division of products and services for the commercial integrator and consultants,” says Brad Bergoine, president, adding that he expects CDGiPro to work with installers designing solutions for hotels, conference centers, restaurants and houses of worship.

CDGiPro is currently sold through a network of manufacturer representatives:

  • South (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma): Marketing Concepts
  • Illinois and Wisconsin: Loft AV

CDGiPro says it will be making new territory announcements.

Daniel Kippycash has been promoted to national sales manager for CDGiPro and will maintain his position as nationals sales manager for the residential unit.
