More about Channel Vision
Channel Vision Company Info
Increased surveillance needs coupled with tight budgets can pose a challenge for those still using analog cameras. To meet this demand, Channel Vision has released its W-4001 Web Camera Server, which is part of its line of IP Surveillance Solution products. The 4-channel camera server has a built-in web server, allowing up to four cameras to be converted to a digital IP Camera and viewed over the network or Web.
The unit allows users to keep their existing analog cameras while upgrading to an IP camera system. Video can be viewed in real-time over the internet using the included CMS (Central Management System) software from either a PC or Mac. It can also be easily accessed from a 3G phone using apps specifically designed for iPhone and Android or from touch screen controllers, including those from AMX, Control4, Colorado vNet, and Savant.
The W-4001 features H.264/MJPEG/ MPEG4 video compression, providing smooth, high quality video. Video can easily be stored on an SD card or computer and played back remotely. It also supports 2-way audio, allowing for video conferencing from a remote location. With its user-friendly interface, the W-4001 can connect to most types of analog cameras, including Channel Vision’s Vandal-Proof IR Color Dome (6127) and Hi-Res Color IR Bullet Camera (6330).
In addition to its 4-Channel Web Server, Channel Vision also offers a 1-Channel Web Camera Server (W-1001) that allows a single input analog camera to be converted to a digital IP Camera and viewed over a network.
