Robert Archer · June 3, 2014

In this comprehensive CE Pro 100 brand analysis series, CE Pro senior editor Bob Archer delivers an in-depth look at the most frequently used manufacturers in nearly 40 product categories. The numbers associated with each manufacturer reflect the number of CE Pro 100 dealers using that brand.

The brands that are used by the CE Pro 100 are closely watched because these are the most successful companies in the industry. Many integrators look to the brands that are being used by these companies as a signal of success. This brand usage differs from rank and file integrator usage because it does not include brands that are sold through distribution typically, but focuses on direct-to-dealer brands.

Both Leon and Sonos make gains in their respective portions of the soundbar market, while SnapAV, B&W and Klipsch maintain their 2013 rankings. The total number of brands used by CE Pro 100 dealers in the soundbar category is 33. This illustrates the multitude of choices in the hot category but is still lower than the amount of companies dealers use in the architectural and freestanding categories.

Top 5 Soundbars:
Leon Speakers: 45
Sonos: 33
SnapAV: 15
Bowers & Wilkins (B&W): 14
