In this comprehensive CE Pro 100 brand analysis series, CE Pro senior editor Bob Archer delivers an in-depth look at the most frequently used manufacturers in nearly 40 product categories. The numbers associated with each manufacturer reflect the number of CE Pro 100 dealers using that brand.

The brands that are used by the CE Pro 100 are closely watched because these are the most successful companies in the industry. Many integrators look to the brands that are being used by these companies as a signal of success. This brand usage differs from rank and file integrator usage because it does not include brands that are sold through distribution typically, but focuses on direct-to-dealer brands.

Epson, Sony and Digital Projection (DP) make small leadership gains in the projector category. Of the three companies Sony made the biggest advancement, and this could be due to the company’s emphasis on 4K, which is starting to gain some momentum. After sliding down a few places in the top five Runco stabilizes its position as the fourth most frequently used projector manufacturer.

Top 5 Projector Brands:
Epson: 50
Sony: 46
Digital Projection: 38
Runco: 32
JVC/JVC Pro: 31
