Belkin already has a few smart bulbs in its WeMo lineup. However, the company’s motto seems to be the more, the merrier. The company has announced plans to work with Technical Consumer Products, Inc. (TCP) on additional lighting options that will fit into the WeMo ecosystem.

The new TCP lineup of LED smart bulbs will connect to WeMo products through the WeMo Link gateway. That way, they’ll work with products such as the WeMo Light Switch, the WeMo Insight Switch and the NetCam HD+.

Once connected to your home network, the new TCP bulbs can be controlled through the free WeMo app. They will also work with IFTTT, so they can be connected to Facebook, calendar functions, email, and more. That little perk will allow the lights to turn on whenever someone specific sends an email, when your favorite team wins a game, and more.

“We see smart lighting as an easy way for consumers to enter into the smart home space,” said Ellis Yan, CEO of TCP. “Providing LED lighting that seamlessly integrates with the existing WeMo system is just another way to show our commitment to providing additional lighting solutions for consumers.”

Expect to see the first WeMo-enabled TCP LED light bulbs sometime early next year. That lineup should include A-Lamps and flood lights, as well as other lighting solutions to be announced at a later date.
