In January 2013, Behringer announced an AirPlay-enabled wireless audio solution that allowed dealers to use traditional audio components.

As 2013 draws to a close, the Seatle-based company is making a bigger commitment to the consumer market through parent company MUSIC Group, which is launching a consumer electronics division.

MUSIC Group, whose other pro audio brands include Turbosound, Midas, Klark Teknik and Bugera, has tapped Daniel Roe to serve as head of its new division.

“This is a great opportunity for us to leverage the treasure trove of new technologies we’ve implemented in our legacy brands; and to make that technology available to the home consumer,” says Costa Lakoumentas, group marketing, senior vice president, MUSIC Group. “We toyed with this idea previously with a good modicum of success, but now we’re in it to win it. Having Daniel at the helm, along with his considerable industry expertise and track record, will provide the impetus needed to make MUSIC Group a household name.”

“I’m already engaging our distributors and retailers so we can maximize our market potential, and provide the best possible customer experience,” Roe explains. “Look for a far reaching line of consumer-centric solutions from MUSIC Group that will both complement and enhance the modern consumer lifestyle.”
