Barco DP-1200 DLP Projector Offers 2K Resolution

The 205-pound projector has a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and twin DVI/SMPTE 292M inputs.

Barco has expanded its DP Series of projectors with the DP-1200 DLP Projector.

The DP-1200 uses a 0.98-inch DLP Cinema chip from Texas Instruments and is designed for screens up to 40 feet wide.

Barco has made 2kW and 1.2kW lamps available to use with the DP-1200, which weighs 205 pounds.

The DP-1200 DLP Projector also features:

  • A 2,048 x 1,080 native resolution
  • A 2,000:1 contrast ratio
  • Twin DVI/SMPTE 292M inputs
  • A motorized single lens solution

“With the addition of the DP-1200, we now have Barco solutions across all market segments,” says Todd Hoddick, VP of Digital Cinema.

Barco is now shipping the DP-1200 Projector. The company didn’t release pricing.
