Anuva Readies TiO Home Automation for Europe at ISE 2015
Anuva Automation expands U.S. manufacturing facility, submits IoS app for TiO, plans ISE 2015 debut of European lighting controls.
Anuva Manufacturing, the group that now owns the TiO line of home automation systems, is breathing new life into the brand that emerged from Colorado vNet and 3vNet. And the fruits of that effort will be on show at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2015) in Amsterdam next month.
Anuva recently built a 40,000-square-foot facility in Melbourne, Fla., to consolidate Anuva Automation (TiO) and other Anuva groups. The company currently employs 55 people and should be able to expand production by 250 percent.
TiO president Mike Anderson tells CE Pro the new factory features state-of-the-art surface mount technology (SMT) lines and assembly areas.
Anderson says TiO, which employs a distributed topology for whole-house control (no central hub required), is currently shipping IP-communicating lighting and streaming-audio products for North America.
“We have many successful installs in the hospitality sector and are starting to add distributors for CI [custom installation],” Anderson says.
Meanwhile, in a major milestone, TiO submitted its iOS app for certification yesterday and expects it to be available from the Apple store “sometime in the next few weeks,” according to Anderson. TiO originally launched with an Android app.

On the other side of the pond, Anuva will demonstrate at ISE the first European version of its flagship TouchLite 4 (TL4), a capacitive-touch lighting controller.
The European model mounts into a 70mm round or square wall box with 60mm screw spacing.
Like the TL4, the European product is load-agnostic, meaning it will control any type of lighting, fan or motor, even multiple lighting types (e.g., LED and incandescent) at the same time.
Wall plates will be available in one-, two- and three-gang formats in white, black and silver.
During ISE, the products will be in certification testing by various agencies, and TiO hopes to be in full production by the end of February.
“We are moving forward at light speed,” Anderson says.
