In this comprehensive CE Pro 100 brand analysis series, CE Pro senior editor Bob Archer delivers an in-depth look at the most frequently used manufacturers in nearly 50 product categories. The numbers associated with each manufacturer reflect the number of CE Pro 100 dealers using that brand.

The brands that are used by the CE Pro 100 are closely watched because these are the most successful companies in the industry. Many integrators look to the brands that are being used by these companies as a signal of success. This brand usage differs from rank and file integrator usage because it does not include brands that are sold through distribution typically, but focuses on direct-to-dealer brands.

A comparison of the past few years shows the wireless audio category is maturing both in terms of product development and the application of these products. Sonos builds upon its already sizable market lead, while Bose and Soundcast make slight gains in the category. Denon’s relatively new HEOS brand helps it make the top five.
