In this comprehensive CE Pro 100 brand analysis series, CE Pro senior editor Bob Archer delivers an in-depth look at the most frequently used manufacturers in nearly 50 product categories. The numbers associated with each manufacturer reflect the number of CE Pro 100 dealers using that brand.

The brands that are used by the CE Pro 100 are closely watched because these are the most successful companies in the industry. Many integrators look to the brands that are being used by these companies as a signal of success. This brand usage differs from rank and file integrator usage because it does not include brands that are sold through distribution typically, but focuses on direct-to-dealer brands.

For the second consecutive year the headphone category shows growth, with Sennheiser and B&W continuing to be pacesetters. In addition to the increased number of dealers offering headphones, the amount of headphone companies has also climbed. The category could be in for a leveling off going forward.
