The electronics security officer (ESO) of a company (or “cyber cop,” if you will) is the person tracking, updating and installing new anti-virus software.
This works to prevent damage to data, theft of identity information and other detrimental exposures that can affect the financial security, image and good will of your integration company. They are important job duties that should not be handed out without forethought.
The cyber cop of a security services provider is even more important. His or her ability to guard against cyber crime and catastrophe protects not only the company, but also that company’s clients.
For all of these reasons, it is imperative for CE business principals and managers to know what they need in an ESO. Before naming someone to the role of cyber cop, know what need to be capable of doing.
