Pro Audio Associates Hosts 4th Annual Open House

Professional Audio Associates (PAA) really knows how to throw a party. The New England distributor hosted its fourth annual open house on June 22 to the delight of hundreds of local integrators who stopped by throughout the day for show specials from over 30 vendors. The event, hosted by Lew Freedman, gives the distributor a chance to showcase new product for its dealer base. The day was rainy, which meant people were elbow to elbow inside the Woburn, Mass. facility. PAA catered the event with an outdoor barbeque under tents.…

ThinkFlood RedEye control system

Usually when some thinks about home control images of complicated remote controls and expensive, elaborate electronics come to mind. Waltham, Mass.-based ThinkFlood is trying to change that perception however with its second-generation RedEye Pro whole-house control system. The company's latest control and automation system comes with eight dual-purpose 3.5mm IR ports, four contact-closure ports, two RS-232 ports, four USB ports an Ethernet (10/100) RJ-45 input and its 802.11b/g compatible. ThinkFlood Debuts Affordable RedEye Pro Whole-House Automation

In another sign of how quick the market is adapting to new levels of IT-based control and more affordability using existing interfaces, ThinkFlood Inc. has launched RedEye Pro, a whole-house, multi-control, multi-zone automation system. The Waltham, Mass.-based IT company is already known for its popular RedEye universal remote control app and charging dock that allows consumers to use their own smartphone as a TV remote.
