Updated at 12:19 PM on April 26, 2012: This story was originally published on Feb. 3, 2012 prior to Super Bowl XLVI. We are reposting in anticipation of the 2012 NFL Draft, which runs Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28. Former New York Giants defensive lineman Michael Strahan may be best known for setting the single-season sack record or winning the Super Bowl in his final year. But he should also receive kudos for good housing taste - or at least hiring someone with good taste. Strahan's Westgate Avenue home in Los Angeles, Calif. recently hit the market for $6.95 million. Situated in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood, Strahan bought the house in 2009 with Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, Nicole Howell, shortly after their engagement in 2009 for $5 million. Featuring six… View this story

2012 could someday be remembered as a year of tremendous technological advancements. Today, it's just another year gone by without the Super Bowl in 3D. How can the world's biggest television event not be a showcase for 3D, which is still trying to gain acceptance among the public? Here is my analysis. Broadcasters have given up on 3D: Fox, NBC, CBS and even Disney-owned ABC and ESPN have concluded that 3D is for watching Blu-ray movies in home theaters, not television programming. No demand for 3D: There isn't even an… View this story

Ultimate Super Bowl Home Theater System
Robert Archer | 02/02 08:47 AM, 4 Comments
Like many Boston area residents, Sunday can’t come fast enough for me. The New England Patriots have their eyes on another Lombardi Trophy as they take on the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. The Super Bowl is often the most-watched TV program every year, with millions of people watching across the world on different TVs, projection screens and home theater setups. We thought it would be fun to compile the ideal home theater system, and a few other toys, to take the Super Bowl experience to the next… View this story

Super Bowl XLVI between the New England Patriots and New York Giants, which takes place Sunday, Feb. 5 2012 at 6:30 p.m. (ET), is going to set a record as the most-watched program in television history, according to Media Life's annual pre-Super Bowl poll. It will be the third straight year that the Super Bowl has set that record. Experts are saying the Super Bowl will draw 113-plus viewers, which would break last year's mark by more than two million viewers. There are a lot of football fans in this… View this story

Amani Toomer Home Theater
Lisa Montgomery | 02/01 09:17 AM, 16 Comments
Former New York Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer will be watching his team take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl from prime seats at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Had the Giants not made it to the Super Bowl, Toomer still would have enjoyed the action, albeit from the seats in his newly renovated man cave. Designed and installed by Todd Anthony Puma of The Source Home Theater Installation & Design, the system features top-notch equipment from Paradigm, Anthem, Wolf and Screen Innovations. Toomer wanted the… View this story
