D&M Factory Sustains Earthquake Damage

D&M Holdings' factory in Shirakawa, Japan, is closed at least until Wednesday, March 16, due to heavy damage sustained last week from the devastating 9.0 quake. A statement from D&M Holdings, Inc. North American president Bob Weissburg, says: "Because the facility sustained some damage, it will remain closed through Wednesday, March 16. During this time we will obtain a more complete picture of the damage, put response plans in place and have physical inspections conducted to verify the facility can be re-opened safely. Sony has announced an all new A/V receiver line including a model that offers control of streaming digital music. Sony is rolling out four new 3D products that are so good … only an A/V specialist can sell them. Denon remains the brand of audio/video receiver used most frequently by custom installers/dealers/integrators, according to information collected early this year in EH Research’s annual Brand Awareness, Use and Preference survey.
