We all like to talk about locking HDMI connectors, but what about those pesky RCA connections that can be just as finicky? Perfect Path (PPC) has an app for that. Leslie Chard, former president of HDMI Licensing, told CE Pro in 2008, “There is no such thing” as “wireless HDMI.” More than two years and plenty of products later, the answer is still the same, but the messenger has changed. “HDMI is a wired play,” Chard’s successor Steve Venuti tells CE Pro. “That’s it. Let’s face it, integrators have a love-hate relationship with HDMI cables. They fall out of components. They’re terribly unforgiving if you bend them too far or damage the connector.
