Some of your clients have spent a lot of money on a home theater. So it’s understandable when some say they’ll accept nothing less than 1080p. Warner Bros. doesn’t want to be left out of the mix, so it is now starting to make 1080p titles available on iTunes. It wasn't that long ago that I had to manage the content stored on my iPod and first-generation iPhone. iTunes, Vudu Gain Market Share at Expense of Zune, Sony

Apple iTunes stemmed its decline in market share for Internet video on demand (iVOD) in the first half of 2011. Its share was up slightly from the same period in 2010 -- from 64.9% to 65.8%. The service still swallows its competitors, but Walmart's Vudu -- now the No. 3 iVOD service -- is coming on strong. In the first half of 2011, the high-def streaming service commanded only 1% of the market for Internet video. This year, Vudu now has 5.3%, besting both the Sony PlayStation Store and Amazon.…
