Control4 has added an iPod dock to its roster of certified products. Channel Vision’s ARIA iBus on-wall dock for iPod (model P-3036) passed the rigorous testing process required of all Control4 Certified devices. Channel Vision joins a small but growing list of Control4 Certified manufacturers in the residential market, but appears to be one of the first or only providers of certified iPod docks. If you love Crestron control systems but you prefer URC’s PSX-2 iPod dock over Crestron’s own solution, you’re in luck. Soon, ControlWorks will release a Crestron module for URC’s robust iPod integration solution. Although Crestron's iPod product line supports video content, “some dealers appreciate the PSX-2's more AppleTV-esque cover art mode on the video output,” says ControlWorks president Jim Felderman.
