Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) P3 headphones
Robert Archer | 05/08 03:49 AM,
Whether its competition wants to admit it or not, Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) is a market leader in the specialty consumer electronics category. Recently the British company reaffirmed its position as a market leader when it introduced its third headphone product: the P3. B&W offers the compact P3 in a choice of black or white, and the headphones incorporate features such as custom-made, lightweight acoustic fabric covering the headphones' ear pads and speaker diaphragm terminals that have been positioned in a manner to ensure airflow. Inside NFL Star Mario Williams’ iPad-Controlled Home Theater
Lisa Montgomery | 04/26 08:58 AM,

Mario Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, recently signed a $100-million deal with the Buffalo Bills, making it easy for the star defensive end to go all out when designing his home theater. Raleigh, N.C.-based Audio Advice had the luxury of incorporating the equipment into a partially finished space in the basement of Williams’ 11,000-square-foot Raleigh home. The drywall was already up in the room that would serve as the home theater, but areas behind those walls were unfinished. These open spaces allowed Audio Advice…

New iPad Adds Retina Display, 1080p Video, Improved Camera & Processor
Grant Clauser | 03/07 02:46 PM,

After all that hype, I really expected something better than the New iPad. Apple isn’t even calling it the iPad 3 or the iPad HD as many speculated. The improvements are nice, but they’re just improvements and hardly live up to the revolutionary rhetoric Apple used during the reveal. It’s almost easier to point out how this model is the same as last year’s. It’s about the same size, about the same weight, looks identical, same battery life, uses the same controls (no more or less buttons and no Siri)…

iPad 3 Predictions: 7 Must-Have Features
Rachel Cericola | 03/05 09:16 AM,

Apple sent out an invite for an upcoming press event on March 7. Within seconds, the web was buzzing with assumptions about a new and improved iPad. Would it have a better processor? Better camera capabilities? The ability to shoot fire? While the latter may sound cool, it’s probably safe to say that’s not going to happen. That said, there are plenty of rumors circulating. While all should be answered at the press event, here’s a look at some of the more plausible predictions for the iPad 3. Click here…

Top 2012 Trend: Desktop/Computer Audio
Robert Archer | 01/13 08:14 AM,

Back when Jim Lackey, president of Natural Sound, first opened his business, consumers were entrenched in audiophile music. Alternative entertainment solutions - aside from two-channel stereo - were few and far between during Natural Sound's early years. Consumers were just getting their first look at the original gaming system (the Atari 2600). Since then, consumer electronics have evolved into VCRs, personal computers, DVDs, the Internet, HD and now streaming media. Natural Sound, like other small consumer electronics stores, has had to add these new technologies into their portfolio. The company…

5 Reasons iPads Are Horrible Home Theater Remotes
Jason Knott | 12/20 08:24 AM,
14 Comments
Eric Thies, president of CE Pro 100 integrator DSI Entertainment Systems, loves iPads, but just not as a home theater remote control. He recently shared with his clients via DSI's blog five reasons why he hates the iPad as a remote. Too big: The iPad is just the right size for a table, but it's too unwieldy to be a practical remote control. If you are a power user, maybe you need all of this screen real estate to cover every single DVR button. For me, unnecessary. I need hard…
