Grooveshark Sued for Allegedly Posting 100k Pirated Songs

Grooveshark is one of the up-and-comers in the streaming music business, but the company is in hot water for allegedly posting pirated music to its online service. Last week, Universal Music Group filed a copyright-infringement lawsuit claiming that Grooveshark leaders conspired to post more than 100,000 pirated songs to the music service, CNET reports. The accusations are not the first for Grooveshark, which had its mobile app removed from the Android Market earlier this year for alleged copyright infringement of multiple labels.
