Current Audio is ready to ship its Dipole/Bipole and the LCR Theater series of suite of new installer-friendly speakers. The Dipole/Bipole Series can be used for either rear surround or back surround. When they’re installed, you flip a switch on the back of the speakers to determine which application they will be optimized for. Control4 to Sell Speakers from Current Audio

Home automation vendor Control4 is dropping its own line of speakers and selling products from Current Audio instead. Current, founded by former integrators Sean McDermott and Rich Apgar, will be available to authorized Control4 dealers. Control4 will not inventory the products, but the company will actively sell the gear via its own sales team. “They’ve got 20 sales guys on the street and about 1,800 dealers,” McDermott says. “We are the sole speaker supplier.
