NuTone has introduced a universal retractable vacuum hose, CHV1, according to the company. The hose, which stores at 11 feet, can extend to 30 feet, making it easier to reach more spaces throughout the house. The hose automatically retracts when done. Vacuuming isn't very exotic. The idea of a great vacuuming experience doesn't exactly give the average person goose bumps. Maybe that's why most integrators choose not to display central vacuum systems in their showrooms. H-P Products has introduced the MaxAir power unit, designed for its Hide-A-Hose retractable hose central vacuum system. The unit powers homes up to 22,000 square feet, and is available for both Dirt Devil and VACUFLO lines. The MaxAir uses Cyclonic Filtration Technology (CFT) to deliver consistent power, and its Cyclonic Separation process removes 96 to 98 percent of the dirt from the airstream without using bags and filters.
