Nationwide Marketing Group has agreed to buy Cantrex, Canada’s premier buying group that has more than 1200 stores with annual sales approaching $2 billion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close at the end of April 2012. Cantrex, a division of Sears Canada, was housed in the Sears Canada logistics center in Montreal. Sears Canada and Cantrex associates will continue to share the facility, and there will be no immediate impact upon their day-to-day duties, Sears Canada said.
