Bryston and Thiel

On the speaker side, Thiel demoed the floorstanding version of its SCS4 speakers that we were fortunate enough to have here in our office for a bit (paired with a Bryston integrated amp and CD player), but these SCS4T models ($3,690/pair) add some extra bottom end. They fit perfectly with the Bryston gear, which at CES included the Canadian company’s BDP-1 digital player ($2,150), which can deliver high-res files in their pristine clarity up to 176KHz/24-bit.

It’s always great to see quality audio equipment and listen to real MUSIC after all the exploding-cars-and-gunfire demos on the video side of the business.

You’ve got some great stuff in this slideshow, but what about Wisdom Audio’s new series? Yes, they were pricey, but Jon Herron put on what I thought was one of the most wonderful sounding demos I heard at the show.

Nice to take a break from the boom and sizzle to relax for a bit and spend some time listening to some of the most real sounding music at the show!

Have to agree, not onyl was Wisdom the best looking speaker with not a wire to be found it was truly an amazing speaker system. It actually killed the remainder of the rooms for me becasue nothing came close!

I did not visit Wisdom at the show, but have seen and heard their setup many times (even here at the CE Pro office). Jon is an enthusiastic presenter, and they are certainly in another class when it comes to in-wall products.
