Inside Sharp's CEDIA Expo 2009 Booth
Its new LED TVs were everywhere, and there was a lot of buzz about Netflix streaming being added to the BD-HP52U Blu-ray player.

Sharp BD-HP52U Blu-ray Player with Netflix Streaming
While the new Aquos BD-HP52U will begin shipping in October, Sharp expects Netflix streaming to be available by November. “We’re in the midst of signing a contract with Netflix,” said spokesperson Melissa Non.

The BD-HP52U models that ship in October will be able to get the Netflix “watch instantly” feature through an update, while the ones shipped after the contract is signed will be Netflix-ready.

It supports BD Live and features an RS-232 port. The BD-HP52U also offers Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD Master Audio via HDMI digital output and decodes Dolby Digital Plus.
