Learn about Tagging

Wikipedia defines a tag as “a (relevant) keyword or term associated with or assigned to a piece of information (e.g. a picture, article, or video clip), thus describing the item and enabling keyword-based classification of information.”

On CE Pro, we use tags to point you to content similar to what you are reading. For example, a story about the company Sony may be tagged with the word “Sony,” which links you to all the other stories on CEPro.com about Sony. Similarly, a story about DLP televisions may be tagged “DLP” and will link you to all the stories we have posted about DLPs.

Tags are a more specific type of linking content together, rather than using slightly more vague categories like “TVs” or “Cabling.”

On CE Pro, tags can be found in the Page Tools section at the bottom of every story.
