Westchester County New York took a hard blow, though by some good planning and good fortune our offices and operations were unaffected.  Almost any installation company in this area will have its operations disrupted to some degree, since simply getting from place to place can be a challenge, and that’s assuming you’ve got working electric, phone and Internet for your business.  Temporary gas shortages, exasperated by many gas stations being unable to operate their pumps, may also limit one’s geographic range of operation.  Of course, with powerline damage severe in many areas in the county, it will be as much as 10 days more until electricity is fully restored, which means some installation work will obviously be postponed or otherwise delayed.

Around here for the next couple of weeks, one’s more likely to make money operating a chain saw than a soldering iron or db meter.
