Check out this image of a 32-inch version of the new LG OLED TVs. They are just 4mm thick.That’s equivalent to 3 credit cards stacked up.  Can you plug an HDMI cable into this seamlessly? What do you think?

Just a guess, but I assume the base is part of the TV and can’t be removed.  Similar to the 9000 series from Samsung (it flips up if wall mounting).  Also, the power supply would have to be an external type (brick).  So no hiding this in the wall!

Should they jumped already to Glass Video and avoid this?
