I checked the floor plan for the upcoming EHX fall 08 in Long Beach. No Crestron, no AMX, no Vantage, no Lutron…All the big players are not there! I think it would be a great idea to make one big show in a year and put CEDIA and EHX together!

It certainly makes it hard to look at EHX as the one show to go to in a year for west coast companies.  If you don’t have the budget or the time to be gone for a week, EHX may be the one show you get to.  I have a feeling we’ll see a large constituency of west coast businesses.  Central and East coast installers will have to come for the weather.  We registered for Cedia, then got too busy to go.  EHX here we come.

My experience of exhibiting at EHX West the last couple of years has not been very positive. Given that socal is one of the best territories in the country for business the quantity and quality of attendees was way below what I expected . I put it down to bad timing (my first year was very close to Thanksgiving) and it’s not really that long after CEDIA or that far away from Denver.
