I also have a house project’s inventory installed but not completed that will be available. An estimated 100 switches with all the supporting equipment: bridge module, router, Multilink module, Starhub, 1,2,3, and 4 button touchpads, wall plug dimmers, extra compact flash. If you’ve got a major project, here’s the complete solution. Let me know if you’d be interested in it as a complete package.

We are a vNet dealer who have built our business around their product and have been succesful in the short term. We are the core group of refugee employees from a company that utilized Crestron and AMX for integration purposes. Our new venture has embraced vNet and Savant as an alternative to the aforementioned larger companies. Needless to say we are very disappointed at the recent news re. vNet.
We made the difficult decision yesterday to spend another $10K on product needed to finish a $100k project, that is nearly complete. Our worries include the possibility that we we may never receive a crucial piece of gear needed to complete the project and availability of parts/support in the future. One thing we all know for certain is that dimming systems will have parts failures due to power surges, lightining etc.
Our great hope is that someone will step in and save vNet. We have 5 completed projects and the one above to finish in the next 30 days. I dread having to explain to all of these clients that in the event of an equipment failure the entire system has to be replaced!
In the near term perhaps we can help each other with ideas/alternatives and to relate any news regarding vNet’s status, inventory, etc.
Best Regards to all,

Shocking. This is a major disapointment for our company. Since Colorado Vnet debut in 2002, we knew there was something special. So easy to intergrate, program and install. The product line was very attractive, easy to sell and better yet, easy for end users.
We hope that someone picks up Colorado Vnet. This seems like a great deal for purchase or investment. I can personally say that I have always been impressed with Colorado Vnet. From ordering, rep support and tech support to their amazing website, Colorado Vnet has been as solid as it gets.
Good luck this week on finding money. We hope The Colorado Vnet team pulls through.

I’m a builder in NC. We have pulled out the Vnet system from one of our spec homes. I was going to have it installed in my personal home but I’m learning that vnet is no more. Will the system still work or is it now worthless given the company is gone???
A registered builder.exe with no internet connection will connect to a local bridge. (We all know this because a site is often not on the internet when we commission it) But the laptop I use is getting kinda old and I’d like to install builder.exe on a newer laptop. When I do I can’t register that copy because despite a few responses from https://remote.coloradovnet.com, it claims my account isn’t found.
Does anyone know how to get the System tab activated on builder.exe so one can connect to a local bridge? Thanks!

I too was suprised at the news… no chapter 13, 11,or 7. Just going out of business. Anyway, does anyone know of an audio replacement product that we can use on our wired installations.

Yes it will work fine but you may need assistance in recommissioning to meet your needs.

Worthington Distribution is offering a 3-day training course from October 6-8 in Nashville in which it is touting Schneider/Clipsal product as “a Colorado vNet replacement.”
The promo says: “It is always a sad time in the industry to hear a company will be closing their doors. In addition to the hard working employees it also greatly affects the dealers that have specified a system. Fortunately, the lighting topography for a Colorado vNet system will work with the Clipsal System. Clipsal offers some of the most attractive keypads on the market and only requires 2 conductors to each communicating module. You can tap and daisy chain. It is one of the most flexible wiring topography on the market. If you are unable to make the training, we are happy to help you specify and quote a Clipsal system.”
