Just setup a customer with Whole-House Karaoke for the first time and the customer loved it! Have been doing more commercial and church audio the past few years and it was a simple integration of a 12-channel mixing board, wireless microphone and analog audio from all sources. Send the mixing board audio output into the house multizone audio sytem and the home theater as separate inputs, add a little control and you get a happy customer. They immediaitely ordered another microphone.

Another bonus was being able to locate the mixing board in the family room, so they can easily plug in guitars or any other audio sources.

Here’s another thing to add to your menu of services along with Karaoke and distributed Karaoke.

Juke box and then distribute the juke box audio.  http://www.rock-ola.com/

Or - if you have a client that likes to have music, instruments, microphones - prewire XLR and/or 1/4 inch connection through out their entertaining room or space.

Observations:

1.  Feedback from the system
2.  Dynamics of a microphone greater then d/a systems at lower end can handle.
3.  Dropped microphones
4.  Any compressor/limiters involved?

For new installers, please consider these issues before jumping into the water.
