Q: My Samsung plasma HP S4253 has developed a snowy green screen (the whole screen). Is this repairable and if so, is it expensive? - Manny in Amarillo, Texas
Well, you could fix it, but honestly I dont think its worth it to bother! Assuming that its a “simple” fix, you are probably looking at $400 or so to get a repair…parts and labor. This is very much a “ballpark” average, it could be less, it most definitely could be more. Considering the extremely low price of entry level plasmas, and the fact that even the most basic models will outperform what your old set could ever do, I would recommend simply buying a new set (maybe with an extended warranty!)
