Hello All,
I have also started a new residential/Commercial business and I have a question about wireless camera’s for the home. I have a residential customer that after installing a Quadrox System at his business he now wants me to install a low cost bid for a few camera’s at his home. He wants wireless camera’s that feed to his television. I quoted him a Panasonic BL-WV10A which seems like a real cool product however the cost is a little up there, so I need to find a better solution.
One method I thought of was simply wiring the base of one wireless cam to one input and another cam to the other input and just let him switch views, but I don’t like that personally.
Another method would be to use a four channel mux but I’m not sure if he will see all the cams at the same time I wouldn’t want it to sequence to the camera’s.

On another note I just started looking at CePro and think the site is awesome; there is so much info and everything is layed out so well; great work.

Thank You,

Patrick

Patrick, welcome to the wonderful world of custom.  Where anything is possible.

But not anything is profitable, or practicle, or advisable, or affordable - you get the picture.

You seem to be faced with the issue of finding a solution for a customer who wants wireless cameras in their home.  And they already have an expectation based on a setup at their work.  You seem to have an idea of their budget, or you are assuming that the Panasonic’s will be too pricey.  Here is my advice, short of actually designing a solution for you smile

Specify three options.  Good, better & best.  Then let them decide what they are willing to spend.  Point out the features and benefits of each step up in price.  Make the proposal in such a way that the middle option is the one you want to install.  Because 90% of the time, if they choose you, they’ll settle on the middle price point.
