We dont have it in the UK - i’ve seen a number of US companies promoting Black Friday ?

It’s the day after thanksgiving when most people are off work and many retailers have big sales to get people into the stores. I think it is either the biggest shopping day or the second biggest of the year in the U.S. Mostly for christmas. J

Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year here in the states.

No show room here.  We’re using it as a much needed day for knocking some items off our own internal punch list of things we gratefully haven’t had time to deal with recently.

i.e. going through set aside inventory (even though we try to operate without inventory, our warehouse indicates otherwise), cleaning out the work vehicles, going over project status, etc.

From the CI perspective, I cannot see any real value in participating in the Black Friday insanity.  My experience, is that every time we buy into the deep deals to promote for Black Friday (and of course very narrow margins come along with those promotions) we end up with a rush of people to buy the leader item, and only the leader item.  It has not generated any new CI business, and worse, we typically never see those bargain buyers again.
