Beatles, Pink Floyd Engineer Alan Parsons Rips Audiophiles
Alan Parsons, producer, musician and sound engineer of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, says audiophiles overpay for equipment while ignoring room acoustics.
The job requires installation of AMX equipment to automate an auditorium. We can do the installation but are not an AMX dealer and not familiar with AMX programming. There is no AMX dealer here (we are a C4 dealer).
We are looking either for a company that does “remote control” programming or an individual with good experience with AMX programming.

I was wondering if there are new or different solutions to resolve the lack of variable analog audio out on most TV’s today.
The goal is to tie in the house audio system and local TV audio so that they can share the same speakers in any given room.
In the past the house audio would go to a given room set up with a basic volume control. We would wire 2 16/4 from the VC to the TV, add a Niles TVA50 auto A/B amplifier and set the TV’s audio output to variable. When the TV was turned on, the TV sound would be heard through the speakers and the TV volume would modulate the output to the speakers/amp. when the TV was off, the system would function normally and the local speakers would play the house audio source via the local VC.
Is there anyone here that has a new or different solution to achieve the same thing or something similar in terms of ease of use and seamlessness?

Found one from 2010, but this list doesn`t contain the models i need.
At this time i`m looking for the Yamaha BD-A1010, but this is always an issue.
Is this something everyone needs to test themselves?
Can`t say the manufacturers are “best in class” supporting this information(not the local reps anyway).

I was recently introduced to a new client and we installed a 55” LED in his living room. In the next few months he is planning on finishing his bonus room, and having a dedicated theater. He asked me if there were any magazine’s/websites that I could recommend to him to begin to look for ideas. Do any of you know any good magazines/websites for consumer’s to use?
