Sanus’ Elements ELM203 Protects Electronics

Sanus Systems is now shipping the Sanus Elements ELM203, the second product within the Elements Surge Protection Series to be released this year, which allows audio/video users the ability to safeguard their electronic components and flat-panel TVs against damaging power surges.
“The ELM203 Low-Profile Surge Protector is an inexpensive way to incorporate surge protection into any home theater or audio system,” said Jason Schmidt, product manager for Sanus. “We've designed this product so it can be placed behind a wall-mounted TV or a piece of AV furniture sight unseen - You'll never notice it's there until you need it,” Schmidt added.
The ELM203 offers 2,100-Joule protection and EMI/RFI noise filtration at a product depth of just 1.37 inches. The surge protector also offers RJ45/RJ11 connection for phone and Ethernet protection and includes a 6-foot coaxial cable for cable or satellite signals and a 6-foot phone cord.
Features include four swiveling outlets that can rotate 90 degrees to the left…

Middle Atlantic has 25 feet of its Duct Cool Series long ventilation system snaking around its booth at CEDIA Expo 2008.
The system is designed to expand installers venting options.
"We realized that there was an application for projectors too," says Middle Atlantic's Rebecca Trautner.
So the company is demonstrating a version of the same product designed for heat-generating front projectors. Trautner says it's an energy saver.
"There's a thermostat that senses the temperature [inside the projector's enclosure] and activates the fan only when needed."
The company is also showing its new varied length Signal-Safe Power Cords. This new residential line features outputs specific to cable and satellite boxes.
They come in the following sizes (in inches): 6, 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48.

Zero Surge Debuts Power Quality Filters at CEDIA Expo

Zero Surge will be showing its new series of Power Quality Filters at upcoming CEDIA Expo 2008.
The Room Alleviator, Outdoor Alleviator and Video Alleviator will be on hand at booth 274.
Zero Surge says these units are designed to complement its line of rack mount and standalone products.

Richard Gray’s Offers Power Management Training
PRESS RELEASE
Motivated both by good conscience and by a heightened nationwide interest in "green" living, Richard Gray's Power Company announces a new campaign to educate its certified dealer base about the potential tax credits and other energy efficiency benefits that its power management systems can provide. The campaign kicks off at CEDIA EXPO 2008 with an RGPC PowerVault training session on Friday, September 5 th , from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Colorado Convention Center, Room 606.
"Clearly, we are not saying the PowerVault or any RGPC product is ‘green'," said RGPC President Rick Komendera. "However, if an RGPC dealer can sell a $25,000 power management device like PowerVault because the homeowner offsets a percentage of that cost with rebates or tax credits earned by installing a renewable energy system, everyone benefits—the dealer, the homeowner and the planet."
All RGPC product trainings and certifications now will cover tips and selling points about intelligent energy consumption. The company particularly aims…
