Denver Still Feels Presence of Obama, DNC

Walking the streets of Denver, not far from the Colorado Convention Center and CEDIA Expo 2008, the memories of last week’s Democratic National Convention still linger.
There is an Obama election headquarters on the 16th Street Promenade, complete with a giant cardboard cutout of the Illinois senator and Democratic party nominee.
Looking for a gift to bring back to the family?
Go across the street from the convention center to the big white tent featuring Obama gear, including T-shirts, pins, caps and straw hats. (Do you know ANYBODY who wears a straw hat?)
The tent sits less than 20 feet from street banners touting CEDIA. It's kind of like the city is still in a DNC funk/afterglow and wants to hang on.
I noticed the merchandise prices were “rock-concert-like steep." Since the convention is over, shouldn’t they be discounted ... or are higher prices a sign of things to come?…
