Colorado vNet launches ZigBee RF Lighting Controls

Colorado vNet has added wireless to its aresenal of automated lighting controls.

The company is using ZigBee RF technology for its TD1 RF Touchpad Dimmers. Because ZigBee is a mesh networking technology, the wireless system only gets more robust as more products are added to it.

"A Colorado vNet RF system can consist of hundreds of modules," the company says.

The manufacturer also says that that, since the TD1 is ZigBee compliant, it allows for integration to other third-party ZigBee-compliant devices into your home automation system."

In fact, many ZigBee products incorporate different protocols, so not all ZigBee-compatible products will work with the TD1.

Colorado vNet touchpads can dim lighting loads directly, as well as serve as a whole-house controller. Many other systems require separate dimmers and keypads for the task.

The RF products work seamlessly with Colorado vNet's hardwired lighting controllers and Vibe audio system by adding a Systems Interconnect Module.
