The M700 Disc Vault is a “clean sheet design,” engineered by Kaleidescape to be fast and reliable. It employs high-precision stepper motors to provide smooth and accurate operation, and was designed for industrial workloads to ensure years of trouble free operation. The Kaleidescape M700 Disc Vault is the only product that can import a large number of Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and CDs to a movie server without any user intervention. Insert the discs, and the M700 Disc Vault takes care of the rest. The M700 Disc Vault can accept discs just as fast as you can open their cases and insert them. The vault accepts discs even when it is not connected to a system! On average, a Blu-ray Disc imports in just 30 minutes, and the import progress can be monitored from the front panel display. The disc retention mechanism allows the M700 Disc Vault to be transported with discs inside it. If the vault is at an unsafe angle at any time when powered on, the tilt sensor locks down the mechanism until the vault has returned to a safe angle, making this a great addition to a yacht or aircraft.
