Who Will Jeremy Burkhardt Buy? Who SHOULD he Buy?
He says he’s itching to get back into the industry but Nortek is threatening to sue if he does.
On facebook yesterday he posted, “I hope to tell you about the company we are buying real soon.”
Presumably it’s an audio-related company or something else in the home technology arena, or he probably wouldn’t care about the non-compete.
So ... what company do you think Jeremy is trying to buy? And what company do you think he should buy?
Make your guesses in the “comments” section below.

Hmmm ... Bay Audio would be interesting, but it’s still Ira’ baby.
Leon? No way. They’re just getting started.
Proficient? LOL (Maybe he’ll buy SpeakerCraft back!)
How about nemesis Current Audio?
Current Audio…Hmmm
That actually makes a lot of sense Julie!
Decent quality stuff and solid AVAD customer base.
I think you are on to something!
Please ask Jeremy if he wants to buy an integration firm too. Great test bed…the business practically runs itself
TruAudio???
I’ve already asked him if he wanted to buy a media company ... no go!
Ooh, I could see TruAudio
TruAudio a no brainer except SLC is a different atmosphere. Water’s been under the bridge a long time, good luck Jeremy with the Big Guys. From my end of things, they been chewing up talent and spitting them out for a few years now.
I almost posted this very question on RC yesterday.
I’m betting it’s in the arena of control, remember that whole NIRV thing?
Colorado VNet?
Lol Chris
Snap AV would also be a good choice. Same basic culture, and a few of them have been through SpeakerCraft…
How about something different/fresh?
Check out Soundcast Systems wireless audio platform and portable/outdoor solutions. They make great products with killer performance, just needs to be built-up and marketed properly. I sell a lot of their OutCast speakers to my clients..good stuff.
AVGuys ... I wouldn’t put my money on Snap. They need efficiency, not personality. Elizabeth ... I like that one (and LOVE my own Soundcast).
Just a not about Truaudio. Someone posted SLC. Ah, try about 300 miles south of there! They are headquartered in the St. George area, near the Arizona border and about 90 miles from Las Vegas. Quite a different area than SLC! And Utah is one of the best states for business!
I heard he is buying CE Pro and going to turn it into a Tattoo mag.
I still have a vivid picture in the back of my mind of a sweaty, shirtless, heavily face painted Jeremy hugging Noel Lee on stage in Denver right before the Doobies came on stage. A memorable night indeed.

Bay Audio?
Leon?
Proficient?
