11.20.2008 — The holidays have come early for Vizio, as the company just introduced a 55-inch XVT LCD, an HD Sound Bar and three small-sized LCDs for under $500.

The 55-inch VF550XVT1A is a 1080p LCD with 120Hz Smooth Motion Video technology and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. It displays 1.7 billion colors using a 10-bit data input panel, according to Vizio, and has a 5ms repsonse time.

It offer 9 HD inputs, including five HDMI inputs, an HD Game Port and component, composite, S-video and VGA connections on the rear panel.

The VF550XVT1A also offers:

• An "advanced polarizer" for less reflectivity
• Energy Star 3.0 compatibility
• SRS TruSurround HD
• TruVolume technology to eliminate unwanted volume spikes

Vizio will ship the VF550XVT1A in January.

Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer

Vizio's new Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer (VSB210WS) uses four 3-inch mid/bass drivers and a single 1-inch aluminum dome neodymium tweeter for each channel.

It features a 2.4GHz Wireless Subwoofer with a long throw 6.5-inch woofer that provides bass response 35Hz up to 80Hz. The subwoofer automatically connects wirelessly to the Sound Bar via the Auto Sync function.

The VSB210WS features:

• SRS TruSurround and TruVolume technology
• A piano black finish with chrome accents
• A table top stand and wall mount bracket for installation flexibility

It will ship in January 2009.

3 Small-Sized LCDs

Vizio has also released the VA19 (19-inch), VA22 (22-inch) and VA26 (26-inch) LCDs. All three models, which are now available, have Vizio's advanced polarizer for less reflectivity and meet the Energy Star 3.0 standards.

The VA22 is Vizio's smallest Full HD 1080p LCD and features a 5,000:1 contrast ratio.
