VidaBox vCenter Media System Features 3D, 7.1 Lossless Sound

New Media Center Plays and Archives Blu-ray, DVD, Music Discs, Includes Updated GUI with Enhanced IPTV Access, Native HDMI1.4 3D Output, Plus Costs 20% Less Than Comparable Current Systems

VidaBox, LLC debuts the vCenter Media System, a new addition to the VidaBox family of Media Centers. The system boasts a list of impressive features, such as on demand playback of Blu-rays in true 1080p quality, automatic HD-upscaling for DVDs, plus 3D support with 7.1 lossless surround sound via its HDMI 1.4 output. It also sports a new on-screen interface, designed for easier access to the latest IPTV features and sources, wherever available.

“It’s never been more affordable to get a great, on-demand movie experience with the vCenter,” states Steven Cheung, president of VidaBox, LLC. “vCenter costs almost 20% less than previous generation systems, and its newly updated interface lets you stream tons of free, on-demand shows directly from the web, or play the latest 3D Blu-ray titles with true 1080p quality and 7.1 lossless audio – all just a click away. It’s the perfect synthesis between high fidelity AV playback and the convenience of streaming video services.”

vCenter units come with 2TB or 4TB of storage, plus a built-in optical drive for playback of Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs. Unencrypted titles can also be archived bit-for-bit, with no video or audio quality loss or compression. Other digital media, such as iTunes+ music, photos, videos, etc., can be stored onboard as well, providing a truly centralized storage location for any digital media library. The system’s native HDMI 1.4 output can be connected to any TV, receiver, or distribution system; component video outputs are available with optional converters as well.

“As movie and music collections grow, we can easily expand upon the system’s storage by adding in a RackServerV2, or the new vServer and vServerPro Media Servers,” says Cheung. “Simply install the new servers as needed, and everything will seamlessly communicate with each other to stream content via Gigabit Ethernet. You can choose any movie or song and enjoy it any time with the vCenter!”

The vCenter media system will be shipping and available in the second quarter.
