Toshiba’s HD-A35 is the top of the line third-generation HD DVD player.
The two higher-end units will include HDMI-CEC, which allows connected devices to control each other over HDMI, and support for 1080p/24 frames per second.
The HD-A35 supports Deep Color, 5.1 channel analog output and up to 7.1 channel output using HDMI.
Available in October, the HD-A35 has an MSRP of $499.99. The HD-A30, set to be released in September, will cost $399.99.
The HD-A3 entry-level model, available for $299.99 in October, will output 1080i video.
While Samsung has recently taken the wraps off of its dual format Duo HD player, high-end manufacturer Denon has joined the format war, introducing two Blu-ray players to the mix.
