Time Warner Cable Adds ESPN 3D
Cable provider giving 3D viewers some content with addition of ESPN 3D.
If you’ve got Time Warner Cable, you must be very happy. The cable provider just announced plans to add a slew of new channels.
If you’ve got a 3D TV, you’ll be extremely pleased to know that one of them is in 3D.
ESPN 3D is coming to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks’ high-def lineup. Of course, you’ll need a 3D-capable set, as well as 3D glasses, to take advantage of that new programming option.
The addition is part of a long-term deal with Disney/ABC and ESPN.
New non-3D channels will include Disney Junior, ESPN Goal Line, and expanded video-on-demand services. There’s no word on when the new offerings are set to launch.

I guess it is pretty amazing that they are offering free programming, but think. How many people do you know have a 3D TV? Plus, like we saw with Direct TV, it shut down a lot of peoples’ receivers due to the sudden update. I am a DISH Network subscriber/employee and I really don’t see why mess things up for majority of the customers so that the few that can use 3D. I am happily content with my HD free for life. It’s nice to offer your customers something for free, but why not offer something that a majority of customers have like DISH. With the HD free for life you get the programming you are going to use for free, check out DISH at dish.com/hd200!
