Sherwood RD-7503 Receiver Streams Bluetooth Audio
Seven-channel receiver offers HDMI 1.3 audio repeating and lossless audio decoding.
Sherwood RD-7503 Receiver
Sherwood America has introduced the RD-7503 A/V Receiver with Bluetooth audio streaming.
The 100 watt, seven-channel receiver also features HDMI 1.3 audio repeating and lossless audio decoding. The 7503 can stream MP3 stereo audio from any Bluetooth audio-enabled source when an optional Sherwood BT-R7 receiver is plugged into the 7503's front panel.
"With a Bluetooth-enabled 7503, I can walk into my home, press play on my cell phone, and have Miles Davis streaming over my audio system with the phone still in my pocket," says Jeffrey Hipps, Sherwood's Sr. VP for marketing and product development.
With repeater circuitry on its three HDMI 1.3 inputs, the RD-7503 can also receive and process the HDMI audio from the source. One HDMI output is provided.
The receiver features audio decoding for:
Sherwood includes a calibration microphone and automated setup procedure. A Quadruple Crossover function allows up to four different frequencies for main speakers, center channel, and sets of surrounds.
Connectivity includes: Component video (2), component audio, composite and S-Video. Audio inputs include coaxial digital (3), Toslink (2) and analog (8). Each input has A/V Sync Delay to correct source-related lip sync problems.
The RD-7503 comes with a preprogrammed IR remote, AM/FM tuner with 30 presets, and is Sirius ready. It's also compatible with iPod docks, including Sherwood's DS-10.
