Savant Details 4 Products from da Vinci 3.8 Software Update
Products stress reduced hardware costs and increased efficiency for integrators.
Savant Systems has released details on the four products that were part of the da Vinci 3.8 software update, citing "substantial cost reduction" and "reconfigured hardware" as its objective.
The Rosie OSD-1000 Control System features an integrated controller, a mobile device server, and Rosie System OSD (on-screen display).
The system, available in a 2U rack-mountable enclosure, supports up to eight mobile devices, as well as Savant's traditional remotes. The A/V switching and processing can be performed by third-party receivers or the OSD Server, depending on specific installation requirements.
The Rosie OSD-1000 is scalable in case additional control ports are required.
MSRP: $3,800
Savant Systems Rosie OSD-1000 Control System

The Rosie WCS-1000 Wireless Control System is a master zone controller, which can integrate with third-party A/V, lighting, security, and more. It supports up to eight mobile devices (iPhone, iPod touch) that deliver whole-home control and two-way feedback. The WCS-1000 also gives installers the following control ports:
MSRP: $3,500
Savant is also offering Rosie Programmable Keypads in bundled solutions along with a single-port extender (TKX-2101). Each keypad requires a single CAT5 connection from the TKX-2101 for power and control.
The keypads, configured with the RacePoint Blueprint design tool, are designed for use with the company's home control systems where touch panels or OSDs aren't convenient.
MSRP: $500
Finally, Savant is offering two Rosie In-Wall Touch Panel Servers and Extenders: the ITS-1001 and ITS-1002.
Both are housed in 2U rack-mountable enclosures and require a single CAT5e connection and single power connection for operation.
The ITS-1001 has a single in-wall touch panel server and single-port extender, while the ITS-1002 provides dual in-wall touch panel servers and a dual-port extender.
Both transmit audio, video and control signals via UTP (CAT5/5e/6) up to 300 feet to the in-wall touch panels.
MSRP: ITS-1001 ($1,500); ITS-1002 ($3,000)
