Samsung Adds 8-, 16-Channel CCTV Systems for HD Security
Samsung debuted the 8-channel SDH-P4040 and 16-channel SDH-P5080 HD CCTV cameras at CES 2013.
Both systems offer four, outdoor-ready 720p HD bullet cameras, all of which promises night vision up to 85 feet. The 16-channel model adds in four additional bullet cameras, with night vision up to 75 feet.
Each one also boasts an all-in-one HDTV kits and Cat5e cable. Each kit comes with a DVR with a 1TB surveillance-class SATA hard disk for 24/7 recording. Other features include Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and Samsung Super Noise Reduction (SSNR III) technologies.
All of the new CCTV options can be viewed from a desktop computer or one of Samsung’s free iOS and Android apps.
“High-definition CCTV security systems provide exceptional clarity and performance; however, until today, price points have traditionally kept average consumers or small business owners from truly experiencing the benefits offered by such systems,” says Mike Palazzolo, VP of sales and marketing for Samsung’s consumer video monitoring and security products. “Without cutting any corners in regard to performance or features found in these two new kits, Samsung has now opened the door for all customers to further bolster their security setups with not only the precise detail afforded by high-definition imagery, but the wider field-of-view as well.”
Samsung plans to start selling the SDH-P4040 and SDH-P5080 this spring. Look for the products to be priced at $1,399 and $1,799, respectively.
