Savant is adding an application to enable two-way command of Rosie home control systems via iPhone or iPod touch.

The new app, introduced here at CEDIA Expo 2008, offers two-way communication from feedback-capable devices for the following systems on the Rosie on-screen display:
  • Lighting
  • HVAC
  • Security cameras
  • Supported audio/video equipment
The app has the "gesture" control and "tilt" sensors found on both the iPhone and iPod touch.

It also includes "themed interfaces" that can be customized by Savant dealers. Savant's application will soon be available from the iPhone App Store for $199.

Crestron also announced an iPhone app at CEDIA by hanging the biggest iPhone ever from its booth.
