Pinnacle Speakers has released its Black Rhino subwoofers, drawing upon its 30 years of design and engineering experience to improve its existing product line.
This flagship series of subwoofers is designed for installers who want to provide clients with a low-frequency experience that rivals the sound in a commercial theater.
The Black Rhino subs can play down to 21Hz and achieve sound pressure levels as high as 127dB. The subwoofers internally employ 20-pound drive units with 3-inch voice coils that are set up in a bipolar configuration.
Pinnacle powers these driver arrays with proprietary Class D amplifiers, housing these components in 1-inch thick MDF enclosures that help eliminate cabinet resonances.
The subwoofers are available in three versions:
- Rhino-Ten: dual 10-inch woofers and a 1,200-watt Class D amplifier
- Rhino-Twelve: dual 12-inch woofers and a 1,600-watt Class D amplifier
- Rhino-Fifteen: dual 15-inch woofers and a 1,600-watt Class D amplifier
MSRP: Rhino Ten ($1,395); Rhino Twelve ($1,795); Rhino Fifteen ($2,395)
