Panamax Goes Vertical with BlueBolt IP-Controllable Power Management Strip

At Infocomm 2016, Core Brands' Panamax is demonstrating a new version of its popular rack-mountable IP-controllable power management system in a 37-inch vertical form factor.

Sometimes all it takes is a new industrial design to revitalize a product. In this case, Panamax has refreshed its BlueBolt-enabled power management solution to include a vertical power conditioner, the VT4315-Pro.

Debuting at this week’s Infocomm 2016, the IP-controllable, remotely-managed strip has all the features of the rack-mountable MT4315-Pro, but “doesn’t take up any significant rack space,” says John Benz, director of power for Core Brands, the Nortek group that oversees Panamax and BlueBolt.

The new product leverages the same BlueBolt IP control technology as the Furman Contractor Series and other products in the Panamax PRO series. It controls 12 outlets in 8 banks – 4 individually controlled outlets and 8 in paired duplex banks.

"This enables remote monitoring and reboot in real-time or via scheduled commands of the connected equipment in the rack,” Benz says.

The VT4315-PRO features Panamax’s proprietary Protect-or-Disconnect surge protection and Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM) over/under voltage protection.

In addition, linear filtering provides the optimal performance of protected gear.

Additionally, Gigabit-ready and high-bandwidth coaxial signal-side protection are on board to safeguard from lightning damage that may come from incoming signal lines.

The 37-inch -long unit will ship in July with an MSRP of $650.
