OmniMount Introduces Commercial Venue Ceiling Mount for Lightweight TVs

Phoenix, AZ – August 10, 2011 — OmniMount, the global leader in consumer and commercial A/V mounting and furniture solutions, is introducing the SCM50, a single ceiling mount ideally suited for public viewing and security applications, designed for flat panels up to 37” and 50 pounds. OmniMount brings the SCM50 to market specifically for installers that need a lightweight, low-cost ceiling solution targeted for smaller TVs and monitors, and has incorporated the thoughtful features that define the OmniMount reputation.

The SCM50 is the first mount of its kind to come equipped with a quick-adjust lever for tool-less height adjustment (up to 12”) and 360º of pan, which allows for precise display placement and optimal viewing. The streamlined extension pipe is more discreet than competitive offerings, but still has a standard 1.5” NPT fitting at the top, making it compatible with existing ceiling mount configurations. A robust tilt mechanism provides up to +15º of tilt to properly display the TV in overhead applications, and cable cutouts allow an installer to route cables through the extension pipe and finished ceiling trim plate for a clean finish. The SCM50 is sold as a complete solution with a low profile ceiling plate and security hardware.

The SCM50 can be configured in portrait or landscape orientation and comes fully assembled for easy installation. VESA adapters are included to fit panels from 75x75 to 200x200 and optional coupler and extension pipe accessories are available. Designed and manufactured in the USA, the SCM50 will be in stock and shipping late August, at an MSRP of US$99.95.
